Fundraising Efforts
Annual Department Food Drive Held
This year's annual Food Drive was held on December 13th, 2008. Due to an increasing demand by needy people because of the declining economy, this year we added a 4th collection site. The collections sites were: Piggly Wiggly, Food Pride, Wal-mart, and the Beaver Dam Fire Department. The food donations were a little down compared to last year, but still filled 3 trucks. The cash donations were up a little collecting over $1,700. All food and cash was given to the Dodge County Food Pantry to directly help people in our area. Thank you to everyone who donated.
Annual Blood Drive Another Success!
This year's blood drive on October 18th that was sponsored by the members of the Beaver Dam Fire & Rescue Department, for area accident victims, was another big success. With the assistance of the Blood Center of Wisconsin, we helped donate 39 units of blood for those in need. Food and refreshments were provided to those who stopped in to donate. Thanks again to everyone who made it a big success!

Beaver Dam Starts Annual Memorial Ride
Mischler's Harley Davidson in the City of Beaver Dam was the starting point for this years annual Memorial Benefit Ride on July 26th. This is the 5th Anniversery of the "Ride of Remembrance". Over 500 motorcycles turned out for this event that ended at the State Firefighters Memorial Site in Wisconsin Rapids. The ride generates awareness and funding for the Firefighters Memorial. Riders started by passing under the American Flag hoisted between two aerial trucks.

The members of the Beaver Dam Fire & Rescue Department would like to ask for your support in continuing funding for the Wisconsin State Firefighters Memorial. This memorial is built in the Ben Hansen Park along the Wisconsin River in the City of Wisconsin Rapids. The park features a pavilion, a memorial center, and a statue.
