WATERCRAFT RENTALS @ WATERWORKS PARK

Watercraft 

2019 HOURS:

May 25-September 1
Monday-Thursday: 10:00am-6:00pm
Friday-Sunday: 9:00am-7:00pm

September 7-29
Saturdays & Sundays only: 10:00am-4:00pm

Kayak & Canoe Rentals are $10/hour
Stand-up Paddle Boards are $15/hour

CASH OR CREDIT CARD ONLY!!

Enjoy some paddle time on Beaver Dam Lake!  We rent kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddle boards from the boat building at Waterworks Park.  Complete information is available at the BDCAS Customer Service Desk and the boat building.  An attendant will be on duty at the boat building to assist you with your rental.  They'll have the watercraft ready, explain the safety rules, accept your rental fee (cash and credit cards only, sorry no checks!), have you sign a "Waiver of Liability" and issue you a life jacket and paddle(s), if needed.  Those under 15 years of age will need to be accompanied by an adult.    

 


  

SWAN WADING POOL

The Swan Wading Pool is a shallow wading pool intended for ages 8 & younger.  Swim diapers are required for those not toilet-trained. A parent/babysitter must be present inside the gated pool area to supervise children at all times. Lifeguards are on duty during open hours.

2019 SEASON:

June 8-August 23

Monday-Sunday: 1:00-7:00pm

ADMISSION IS FREE!!

 

POOL RULES:

  • Facility will be open during the posted hours, weather and attendance permitting.
  • Open swim hours will be cancelled if the air temperature is 65˚ or cooler.
  • Facility closures will be announced on radio stations WBEV 1430AM and WXRO 95.3FM.
  • Proper swim wear is required.  No cut-off jeans, shoes or street clothes are allowed in any swimming area.
  • Visiting with the lifeguards is not allowed.
  • Children ages 8 & younger must be accompanied by a guardian who is at least 12 years old.
  • Swimming aids are allowed for non-swimmers.  A  parent/babysitter must be within an arm's length away from the child at all times.
  • Toys such as balls, inner tubes, etc. are allowed at the lifeguard's discretion.
  • No alcohol or drugs are allowed.
  • No person under the influence of alcohol or drugs is allowed.
  • No smoking is allowed.
  • Glass bottles/containers are not allowed.
  • No animals are allowed.
  • Food and beverages are allowed in designated areas only.

  


   

CRYSTAL LAKE BEACH

Crystal Beach

 NOTE:  The above photo includes piers and slides.  Effective Summer 2015, the piers and slides will not be installed.

 

Crystal Lake Beach is a chemical free, spring fed 7-acre lake with a sandy beach.  Kids 11 & under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Swim at your own risk, no lifeguards are on duty. A facility attendant will supervise the facility during open hours and enforce the rules & regulations. Amenities include:  a bathhouse with bathrooms and showers, vending machines, grassy picnic areas and picnic shelters. Lifeguards are on duty during open hours.

BEACH RULES:

  • Swimming area designated by lifeline.
  • Patrons may not hang or sit on lifelines.
  • Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Patrons may not throw sand, rocks or other potentially dangerous items.
  • Patrons may not engage in rough play.
  • Fishing is not permitted in the swimming areas.
  • Personal music devices must be kept at a normal operating level that is not offensive or bothersome to any surrounding park patrons.
  • Fires prohibited except for cooking within charcoal grills.
  • No alcohol or drugs are allowed.
  • No person under the influence of alcohol or drugs is allowed.
  • Glass bottles/containers are not allowed.
  • No animals are allowed.
  • Food and beverages are allowed in designated areas only.
  • No fireworks allowed.
