The Library reopened to the public with essential services on Monday, June 15. Safety of our patrons and staff is our number one priority.  
 If you or any person in your household is not feeling well, please remain home for the safety of everyone. 

Open hours are Monday through Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday 9 am to 1 pm.

The Mailbox Library service allows Beaver Dam library cardholders to request library books, audiobooks, DVDs, and CDs free of charge from the Beaver Dam Community Library collection. The Mailbox Library Service continues for seniors and other vulnerable patrons after reopening. The service is also available to people who do not yet feel comfortable visiting the library building at this time.

During Stage 4 of reopening the library, virtual programs, remote reference services and the Digital Library are available. If you have any questions or need reference service, contact the library by phone at 920-887-4631, email infodesk@beaverdamlibrary.org, text 66746 (start your question with askbdcl) or message us on the library’s Facebook page. Staff are monitoring and responding to voicemails, emails, texts, Facebook comments.

COVID-19 Reopening Plan

Safety of both the staff and the public is a priority when considering reopening of the Library. Adopting best practices and industry standards when applicable support the basis for the plan. The library is in Stage 4 of the Reopening Plan.

The library is reopened on Monday, June 15. The Library is open Monday through Friday 9 am to 6 pm. Saturday 9 am to 1 pm. Closed Sunday.

Beaver Dam public library service has enriched and sustained the community for over 130 years. Opening in 1884, our library was the first library in the United States to have an "open stacks" policy, allowing borrowers to browse and pick books.
