Emerald Ash Borer (EAB)

An invasive, wood boring beetle that kills ash trees (Fraxinus spp) by eating the tissues under the bark. It is native to East Asia and was brought to the United States accidentally in the wood of shipping crates from China. Wisconsin has lost a lot of ash trees already due to this invasive beetle.
