The Mailbox Library service allows Beaver Dam library cardholders to request library books, audiobooks, DVDs, and CDs from the Beaver Dam Community Library collection free of charge. Request items to be placed on hold through the following ways through the library catalog or the BookMyne app (available for Android and iOS devices), by email mailboxlibrary@beaverdamlibrary.org, by phone 920-887-4631, or by text a librarian at 66746 and start your message with askbdcl.
Library staff will mail library items to your home. Patrons will be asked to confirm their current mailing address before items are sent. Library items should be returned in the drop boxes outside the library. While the library building is closed, the library will offer the Mailbox Library Service to all Beaver Dam Community Library patrons. When the library reopens, the Mailbox Library service will continue for seniors and other vulnerable patrons.

History of the Dodge County Mailbox Library Program
The Beaver Dam Community Library is bringing back an old service to assist local residents to check out library materials during the COVID-19 library closure. In 1971, the Dodge County Library Service pioneered one of the first Mailbox Library programs to rural residents in the United States.
